24/7 2019 Directors

Exit. Stage Left, even!

It takes pure theatrical wisdom to direct a play you’ve never seen before, with actors who didn’t audition, and a design team working on 6 other plays simultaneously and do it in less than a day! These are just the wild, willing, and wise leaders who will do it on March 2nd at Live Arts in 24/7.

  • Deborah Arenstein
  • Jess Miller
  • Julian Close
  • Larry Goldstein
  • Leslie Scott-Jones
  • Pat Owen
  • Tim Read

Come see their brilliant handy work. Tickets here.

TRUMPILTON!

When you create an overnight theater festival in 24 hours, the day after the inauguration, you may end up with an 8th, special bonus, presentation. With apologies and respect to Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jonathan Groff, 24/7, last night, presented the one and only performance of TRUMPILTON!

Thank You Poem – 24/7 2017

To the cast and crew of 24/7 2017 —

Well it happened again in the blink of an eye
When a group of great artists reached for the sky
In the middle of January without any snow

In 24 hours you created one amazing show
Blank Minds Think Alike that’s what we showed
With an art class sketching to the Boss’ Thunder Road
Look now – stuck behind screens – it’s a family flotilla
Completely oblivious to a dancing gorilla.
Michael, Jan, Peter and a lady killer
Bought down the house with The Brady Cure thriller
Then two gay fathers played the adoption game
With their teenage son and his Notre “Dame”?
While a former graphic artist and her best friend were
Finding lost friendship through the songs of John Denver
A refined British beauty went chip-chip-charoo
In a French maids’ outfit with Lord Smoocheroo
Our crew was epic, the opposite of tragic
What they did in one day was nothing but magic!
It’s theater. It’s art. And, yes, fun still won!
Like a one time showing of the hit Trumpilton!
And so, if the circus closes, and you’re searching for your worth,
Remember what you did last night, The Greatest Show on Earth!
